The votes are in, the judging is over and the finalists for the 2019 Holiday Coast Credit Union Greater Port Macquarie Business Awards have been announced. Entrant numbers are up on last year, with over 117 businesses submitting online entries across 37 categories.
Business Port Macquarie were thrilled with the performance of their new online entry portal, created by Webstudio, hosted on the Chamber website for the very first time. After submitting an entry, judges combined the result with a mystery shop score and public voting to produce a final tally and determine the top four finalists in each category.
Over 7,615 public votes were received online, with an additional 200 paper votes, amounting to 7.815 votes in total. Overall, the judges were very impressed with the calibre of this year’s outstanding entrants.
“Our judges – independent business professionals from across the Greater Port Macquarie region – were very pleased to see the entrants challenging their skills and providing plenty of detail from which to assess each submission. In some categories, the scores were literally one or two points apart, so our judges were very grateful for the added support from the public voting and the mystery shop.” said Mark Wilson, Port Macquarie Chamber Executive.
Finalists have been announced on the Port Macquarie Chamber website and as a feature in the Port News. The local business community can now look forward to celebrating the best in industry at the upcoming Gala Dinner on Saturday, 27th July.
Tickets to the Gala Dinner are available now and can be purchased from the Business Port Macquarie website, as individual tickets or for multiple seating, for businesses looking to celebrate with their teams, family or business associates.
