A favourite moment from the Business Awards

July 9, 2026

One of my favourite parts of this year's Coastline Bank Greater Port Macquarie Business Awards wasn't just awards night itself. It was everything that happened in the weeks leading up to it.

Emma and I absolutely loved visiting each and every one of our sponsors, stepping inside their businesses, hearing their stories, learning what drives them and sharing those stories with our community through video. Every business had something unique to offer, and it was a privilege to help shine a light on them.

This year we set out to do things differently. We wanted to create more than just an awards night. We wanted to create genuine connection, stronger engagement and more opportunities for our sponsors to be seen, heard and celebrated.

Together with our incredible sponsors, we achieved exactly that.

Across the campaign we delivered:

* Over 634,000 content views

* More than 328,000 accounts reached

* Thousands of likes, comments and shares

* Dedicated sponsor spotlight videos

* Television and radio promotion

* Winner announcement posts, with our highest-performing post receiving more than 66,000 views on Instagram alone.

The response has been incredible.

On the night, and in the days since, I've had so many businesses approach me asking how they can become a sponsor for next year. It's exciting to see so many organisations recognising the value of being part of this celebration of local business.

If you've been thinking about partnering with us in 2027, I'd encourage you to get in touch sooner rather than later. Sponsorship opportunities are already attracting strong interest, and several conversations are already underway.

To every one of our 2026 sponsors, thank you. Your support doesn't just make the Business Awards possible, it helps us celebrate the incredible people, businesses and organisations that make Greater Port Macquarie such a fantastic place to live, work and do business.

I'd love to welcome even more businesses into our sponsor family next year.
