Wauchope Country Club is celebrating its Excellence in Small Business Award at the NSW Business Chamber 2019 Mid North Coast Regional Business Awards, and looking forward to the State finals in Sydney.
Caleb Rose, general manager of the club, said the award was all about the business’s growth, and the strategy that they applied from a business that was going to go out the back door to one that has a future.
“We worked with the community, and that helps with the way they fell about us,” he said.
“Our staff and products are improving. With a members’ club, you need your members, as well as your staff, to be part of the culture.”
Mr Rose is very excited that they have got through to the State finals in Sydney later this year.
“It’s about Wauchope. When we go to Sydney, and win, lose or draw, our town will be up on the big screen, and we get a chance to showcase it. I want to push the local flavour,” he said.
Cassegrain Wines was named business of the year, taking out the top honours, ahead of a swathe of local businesses recognised for their contributions to the local economy.
Held on Friday, September 13 at Sails Port Macquarie by Rydges, the Mid North Coast Regional Business Awards hosted over 200 people from 40 different local businesses to celebrate and showcase their success.
The Mid North Coast winners will progress as state finalists in the NSW Business Chamber’s State Business Awards, to be held in Sydney on Friday 22 November at the International Convention Centre.
These awards saw the winners from a number of local Chamber awards programs from across the region, entering as finalist.
“The winners of the 2019 Mid North Coast Regional Business Awards, have been recognised as the best of the best from across the region,” said Kellon Beard Regional, manager Mid North Coast NSW Business Chamber.
“It is very important for the Mid North Coast business community to come together and celebrate the success of regional business, and the awards program facilitates this,” Mr Beard said.
